The Rochester Wing is a 2 bedroom wing at the side of the Hall with excellent views from the living room and bedrooms over the grounds and fells. The original stone mullioned windows are a specific feature of the wing as well as the extensive oak panelling in the hallway and living room. The wing oozes character and is the ideal retreat for the discerning traveller.
The impressive living room has 2 original stone mullioned windows, is oak panelled and has a dining area with a table which seats 6 and overlooks the grounds. There is a nicam stereo widescreen TV with DVD player, video, over 40 video films and a CD/Cassette/Radio. There is also a small library of contemporary novels.
The spacious master bedroom has a new king-size 4 poster bed and is furnished with original period bedroom furniture. There is also an original stone mullioned window with views over the fells.
A new bathroom has recently been installed in the Rochester Wing. The bathrooms main feature is a new turbo spa bath and electronic power shower with various shower patterns. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cooker and microwave.
The second bedroom has 2 twin beds, which can when necessary, be moved together. There is room to sleep one baby/toddler if guests provide their own travel cot.
The Rochester Wing is accessed through the Great Hall with its snooker table, fireplace and grand piano.
