There are many Golf courses in the area, catering for all standards. Below is just a selection of local courses and driving ranges.

A new all-weather golf centre and driving range in Penrith with a 9 hole pay-as-you-play course and 300 yard driving range. Open 7 days 9am to 9pm. Just off junction 40 of the M6 on the A66 to Keswick.

Appleby Golf course is 2 miles SE of the town. Casual visitors are welcome but as the course is very popular, visitors should call 017683 51432 to avoid disappointment.

RIDING

Armathwaite Equestrian Centre
